Vedic Procedure
Sankalpa in your name
The homam begins with a sankalpa in your name, gotra, and nakshatra, stating the specific matter — the lost item, dispute, or difficulty — for which resolution is sought.
Ganapathi puja & kalash sthapana
Lord Ganesha is worshipped first to clear obstacles, and the sacred kalash is established to invite divine presence into the ritual space.
Kartaveerya avahana
Sri Kartaveerya Arjuna is invoked with the traditional dhyana shloka and the Kartaveerya Kavacham, and the sacred fire is consecrated.
Ahutis with the Kartaveerya mantra
The prescribed mantra is chanted with 108 or 1008 ahutis of ghee, red flowers, and traditional dravyas offered into the fire, as suits the intensity of the matter.
Purnahuti, aarti & prasad
The final offering completes the homam, followed by aarti, blessings from the officiating priest, and distribution of prasad and sacred ash.
