Vedic Procedure

Prayer started in your name

The ritual is started in your name, family name (gotra) and the names of your ancestors, so the offering reaches your own lineage.

Purification and preparation

Tarpanam offered with til and water

Water mixed with black sesame is offered through darbha grass to your ancestors, exactly as the shastras prescribe.
